How you can help.

Revitalize Neighborhoods Together.

Home for Good seeks to acquire single family homes from landlords or other individuals engaged by our mission to offer the homes to our program as a donation or at an affordable price.

By offering some of the fair market value of the house as a donation, you empower our nonprofit to make significant improvements to the home as well as rent or sell it to a low-income family at an affordable price point.

We apply for grant funding and leverage community partnerships to repair and renovate houses that we purchase, bringing them up to code for housing assistance and addressing general safety and quality of living for the families that will call them home.

This work includes energy efficiency improvements such as insulation, new doors and windows, updated heating and cooling units, as well as aesthetic improvements such as new flooring and fresh paint throughout. We seek to maintain our homes and landscapes in a way that enhances curb appeal and walkability for the neighborhood.

Diverse, thriving neighborhoods strengthen our community.

Real Estate Donations.

Donating a home to our program is truly a legacy gift, dramatically altering the lives of our program families’ children by securing a stable home as the foundation for a strong future.

These homes provide safe and affordable housing to families with children, as affordable rentals and opportunities for first-time homeownership through the community land trust.

Mentorship Makes the Difference.

The more Tenancy Support Peer Mentors we can hire and train, the more families we can support!

We believe that supportive housing is essential to the success of families transitioning from housing insecurity to stable tenancy. There are costs associated with onboarding and training new mentors.

Once trained, our mentor roles are self-sustaining financially, thanks to our partnership with C.C. We Adapt that contracts Peer Support Mentors with a community-based program called Comprehensive Community Services (CCS).

Peer Support Mentorship supports families in successful tenancy and transforms lives through voluntary psychosocial rehabilitation for individuals throughout our community that are coping with mental health and/or substance use conditions.

Sponsor a new Peer Support Mentor to help us partner with more families.

Welcome home.

Home for Good wants every family to feel at home in their house. To this purpose, we work with families to ensure that their home includes a table and chairs, beds for all family members, clothing storage, a couch, cleaning and organizational supplies. The children may receive a desk, bookshelf, rugs and other furnishings to make their bedrooms feel special, if the family requests it.

We welcome donations-in-kind of new or gently used furnishings. Follow our Facebook page to see updates with specific requests whenever we onboard a new family. Financial donations are greatly appreciated, to help us purchase new mattresses, cleaning supplies, or other items that are more difficult to acquire gently-used furnishings at a discount from community partners such as the Habitat ReStore and Hope Gospel Mission.

Contact us to learn more if your business is interested in partnering to support this work through specific donations-in-kind.
